We started our tour of the Sperrins from Draperstown, a bright and cheerful small town steeped in history and full of charm.
The visit to the Jolly Fryer wasn't planned because we are not take-out regulars but we were glad we made an exception and decided to give it a go. I ordered fish and chips which is fairly traditional but I am still raving about the quality of both the fish and the chips. My passenger had a chicken fillet with chips and again the chicken surpassed all our expectations.
When we are travelling through Draperstown in the future we will again make an exception and stop off at the Jolly Fryer in the hope we can repeat our experience of good food served promptly and with a smile.January 04, 2017
